We can accomodate 2 people to well over 50 persons, and do it in a very private setting!! While being right on your own private lake with excellent fishing, swimming, your own hot tub, fire pit, fire place and over 500 acres of mother nature full of trails*, whether you're a family reunion of 60 persons or a corporate retreat, or simply celebrating your anniversary with your husband or wife, mother nature will be there to provide the ambiance of wildlife in its' most natural element!! We have 4 custom homes (each with air-conditioning!!) that are all right on our very own private spring-fed lake. Each home has everything your home has except we have added our own rustic or custom pine accents in addition to being out in the middle of mother nature and on a very private (no public allowed!) lake. The views from each of these homes are nothing short of spectacular with custom windows (and many windows) in each one! Even for those who choose to stay inside will feel like they are a part of mother nature!!

Currently, our large-mouth bass are reaching 4-5 pounds and crappie are reaching 17-18 inches!! We also have bluegill and yellow perch and walleye. Among the other activities in addition to snowmobiling, cross-county skiing, snow-shoeing, ice-skating (inquire about conditions) and ice-fishing has been excellent overall with even the bass occasionally biting. Clients have recently reported a couple 3-pound bass, a 4-pound bass, up to 16-inch crappies and many perch being caught!! (and remember, no license required!!)

The only development that has been done at Serenity Lake is trails have been put in or maintained (from the previous owner) to allow ideal snowmobiling, horse-back riding, or for the ones even more energetic, walking, hiking, mountain-biking and cross-country skiing can be enjoyed and will ensure everybody will be worn out at the end of the day.

It would be perfect for a family reunion. The jacuzzi was wonderful and right off the deck and what a treat to have a washer/dryer on site. Serenity Lake is a 7-acre private lake that is surrounded by over 500 acres of beautiful nature at its finest. The only part of this property that is or will be developed will be around Serenity Lake. The property was bought to retire on and will be primarily left alone and preserved.

Only clients that are renting (and their guests of course) Tall Pines Lodge, Pheasant Cottage, Bear's Den or Eagle's Nest at Serenity Lake are allowed on the property. If somebody would like complete privacy at Serenity Lake, which is very popular with snowmobile or horseback ridng, or church groups, corporate retreats and family reunions and anniversaries, the entire property can be rented. Imagine having your own lake for your family, loved ones or group! A good example is family reunions or anniversaries. You can rent all four cottages and have exclusive access during the time you are renting.

Another group this is popular with are corporate retreats. it allows many people to get together for everything from team-building, meetings or for simply taking a break to refresh the staff!! For families or any type of large group, Serenity Lake is ideal to accomodate for so many people.

If you are just interested in taking your family on a wildlife adventure (see Photo Gallery), you can see many animals and birds including deer, raccoons, squirrels, porcupines, fox, different species of hawks, bald eagles, owls, blue jays, turkey and many more including small birds so red, it makes red cardinals appear dull!

From the Southeast corner, the property extends one mile North and one mile West and the perimeter alone is over four miles!! When riding snowmobiles, it is very easy to become disoriented, though it is difficult to get lost. The trails are marked well and there is a trail map available so you can check where you are at any given time. Please do not go off the trails as you could very easily get lost. As new trails are opened, they will be marked and added to the trail maps.

Each trail has been designated a different animal or bird name that has coincided with the animal or bird seen in the area. Porcupine Trail actually had a mother and baby porcupine living in the area when we named it.

Deer Trail was named after crossing an actual deer trail (there’s a hint to all you deer hunters!) three different times while making it. As deer have been seen EVERYWHERE on the property, any of the trails could have been named Deer Trail. We figured it was definitely fitting though as the trail is partially an actual deer trail. The only animal we have not observed on the property is a black bear, though they are around, so be careful.

If you enjoy boating, Serenity Lake offers a beautiful canoe or kayak ride to enjoy with your children. If you have a boy scout or girl scout group and you want a good place to teach how to canoe or kayak, Serenity Lake is perfect for this. We now offer canoe  and kayak rentals (go to bottom of our Rental Rates page!) You should reserve your canoe (s) when you book your reservation to ensure availability. Hatfield Sports Shop (715-333-5009) has every kind of bait you will need and will give you a dozen free crappie minnows just for coming in! The also offer our clients 10% discounts on the many services they offer such as canoe or kayak trips, lake or river fishing, ice fishing and guided hunts! Black River Falls Canoe Rental (715-284-8136) has different services available as well and offers our clients a 10% discount for their packages.

Serenity Lake is partially spring-fed, and will continue to keep the water cool even during the warmest months. The top of the water in Serenity Lake is very comfortable while a couple feet down gets nice and cool. Swimming will probably be your children’s favorite activity. And if they CAN get bored with swimming, there is volleyball, horseshoes and various other activities that are available besides the walking, hiking, bicycling, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, etc. And in the winter time, you can add the snowmobiling, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing to this list. Bruce Mound down-hill skiing and tubing is less than 10 minutes from us!!

The nicest thing about all these activities, is you can do them ALL while at Serenity Lake!! You don’t have to drive to any of these to enjoy them as they are all available ON the property!! There are very few recreational areas that make it so convenient for you to just bring the ones you want to spend time with and your toys or pets (i.e. fishing gear, canoes, kayaks, snowmobiles, horses, dogs, etc.) and plan on enjoying wildlife habitat in its most natural form.

Snowmobile riders will immensely enjoy the ambiance of riding right from your cottage to the public snowmobile trails. If some of you would like to ATV or snowmobile on the public trails, the snowmobile trail goes right through our property and the ATV trails are 2 miles from the property!!

Lake Arbutus, which is 835 acres, is only 2½ miles. Lake Arbutus Motorsports (see logo at bottom of page) also rents jet-skis and pontoons on Lake Arbutus, as well as ATVs on Jackson and Clark County Trails, and they will give our clients a 10% discount on any rentals.

Lake Wazee is the clearest and deepest lake in the state and is only 12 miles. Black river can be accessed as close as 1½ miles. Serenity Lake is stocked with large-mouth bass, blue gill, black crappie, yellow perch  and now walleye!! And since it is a private lake, you do not need a fishing license!!

The fishing has been excellent! Our intention is that our fish will be managed to reproduce on their own so the lake will be independent and not require routine restocking allowing larger fish to be caught. And since the public is not allowed to fish on the property, the lake will not get fished out!

And if that is not close enough for many activities and you would like to go into town, Hatfield is 2 miles and has a few excellent restaurants. If your children enjoy rollerskating, Club Twilight (see logo at bottom of page) is also in Hatfield and a favorite place to go on weekends. Let them know you are our clients and your skate rental is free!! Without ANY skate rental fees, this becomes a very affordable activity. Club Twilight also has a snack bar and whether you would like to spend some quality time with your children or get a break FROM them, it is a great place to entertain them while "Mom and Dad" go have a nice romantic dinner! (And, yes, we are talking from experience!). Black River Falls and Interstate 94 are both 7 miles, Eau Claire and La Crosse are less than an hour away. Minneapolis/St. Paul is 2 hours away.

In addition to being spring-fed, Serenity Lake is fed by a spring-fed creek that comes in on the west side of the lake. And there is nothing like seeing the reflection of the beautiful trees off the surface of the lake.

We searched for a pristine piece of property that could offer everything a person could desire from nature. With Serenity Lake and such a large amount of property, we have found nothing that compares to this. It truly is a piece of paradise!

"My girlfriend and I have made the 4.5 hour trip to Serenity Lake from Iowa City, Iowa twice now. Some might think that the drive time is a little extensive for a short weekend getaway, however those people have obviously never been to Serenity Lake! The only tough decision I've had to make while there is what hobby or form of relaxation I/we chose to engage in. The recreation that surrounds the Black River Falls area is boundless, and many activities can be found right on the property!
